The Concrete Calculator will help you work out the amount of concrete that you need to order from us, by calculating the cubic metre volume of each cavity that you want to fill with concrete. Select the most relevant option for your project and fill in your dimensions to work out how much concrete you’ll need. If you’re uncertain, it’s always better to slightly over-order, usually by 10%.
What Type of Concrete Should You Use?
Not all concretes are the same. Concrete building foundations will need to be a different formulation to a garden path or driveway. Here are the types we offer.
GEN0/ST1 Concrete
A lightweight concrete that is ideal for situations where a strong base is needed, but there is no demand for structural strength. Example situations include kerb bedding and drainage works.
GEN1/C10 Concrete
Commonly used for domestic non-structural applications, GEN1/C10 is a versatile, lightweight mix that is suitable for mass concrete foundations, step foundations, flooring and trench fill.
GEN2 Concrete
Ideal for domestic flooring, wall foundations, shed bases, conservatories and paving, GEN2 can be carpeted or tiled, but should never be used externally, unless completely covered.
